We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Chateau de Bellecroix. The chateau was lovely with fantastic service. The best part of the hotel is the sumptous dining room. We had demi-pension (breakfast and dinner) and we loved going into the dining room to experience that night's specialty. We tried regional delicacies that we would never have known to order ourselves. The wine list was also extensive and very good.
The pool was very large and sparkling clean. There is also food service at the pool, so we could relax very leisurely there, sipping our cool drinks.
We stayed in the tower room which was completely round so my daughter felt she really was in a castle.
We paid about E250 per night including breakfast and multi-course dinner for 3 which I thought was excellent price. The chateau is located a beautiful 10 minute drive from Beaune and is sheltered from the sun by many trees, however the pool is situated well in full sun with many umbrellas to sit under.

A charming little chateau hotel, a bit oddly placed on the outskirts of the small and otherwise unattractive village of Chagny, but once you're on the chateau grounds you forget all that. Magnificent lawn with big shady trees where they serve breakfast, and sometimes even dinner, or just the dessert. We've seem a 'regular room' which seems a bit pricey for what it offers, 142 euros for what is perhaps a large but otherwise not too spectacular room. We've booked a 'tower room' which was on the small side, but charmingly quaint, at 110 euros. If you're lucky you can catch a glimpse of the owl that has nested on the roof of the room ! The hotel may look a bit tired on the inside, but the restaurant is FANTASTIC !!! We had a 5 course set meal, excellent wines, and dessert out on the lawn, under the stars, and the owl (see above) making a guest appearance. I've actually forgotten how much we paid for the meal, but it was well worth it. The pool on the side is also nice if you're not wine-hunting in the wonderful and famous vineyards which are just 'up the road' or taking a winetasting tour in the cellars in Beaune. Dogs are welcome without extra charge.

Across the street from a neon-lit 2-star hotel, next door to a Renault dealership, the Chateau is gorgeous on the outside but a bit tired on the inside. Ugly, small bathroom, mediocre decor... not dreadful, but could do better for the price. Skio it.

A nice small chateau type hotel. Comfortable rooms Restaurant excellent. We used it this year (03) when visiting the Burgundy vineyards and also as a stop on the way to Provence. Staff friendly and the grounds and pool look good.
