THIS WAS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY. We were there for 4 nights and found the hotel ideal for what we want...that is..clean and friendly..within easy 5 min walk of the town centre. The room was very very cheap and there WAS off street parking at the cost of 5 euros per night..whichwas well worth it..especially given that the room was so cheap.

Only complaint..very minor...we thought the breakfast at 8 euros each was a bit expensive for what it was..a very very basic French breakfast. So we only had breakfast the first morning..after that we ate at one of the many pavement cafes.

The town itself is stunning..full of 15th/16th century wooden buildings....just walking around and stopping for frequent coffees and beers was a pleasure in itself.

Having said that there is so much to do...YOU MUST do a boat tour..3 hours around the islands for 24 euros..excellent value...the port is about 3 km out of town...but by the port is the fantastic Butterfly garden and aquarium..get a ticket for both ..great for any age.

So many beaches within a short drive..we will definately return to Vannes and will stay here

We were looked after well by this friendly, clean hotel. Breakfast for our 5 year old was not charged, which was a bonus!

It is good value for money - in the way of French hotels, if you want more, then you'll have to pay for it!

Great location and good value - except we were offered no off street parking, we did get a park across the road but it could be a problem on a week day. They had no record that we had pre-paid, fortunately we brought a printed receipt with us or we would have had to pay again!!! Also were told the breakfast was 6 euro and were charged 7euro each, which was not worth pursuing after the problem with the room payment. Once we showed them our receipt, all was fine. They were very helpful and when asked to be moved to a room off the street they were happy to oblige. Request a back room as it could be a bit noisy otherwise. We would stay there again on another visit to Vannes but would make sure we could park off the street as they do have a carpark apparently for 10 cars.
