I've been on a week stay there as I had a professional training course at the Sub-marine Base - It's a minutes drive from the spot.
My workmate had a car but the Hotel situated in TownCentre has no private Parking - So sometimes it was not easy to carpark. Well that could be the only negative point (if it is...) but the dark spot is Internet connection (No Free Wifi) as the rest is perfect.
The Staff is really kind, polite and very helpful, rooms are clean with Satellite TV.
Internet is charged and I find it really expensive (but it is the average price for Internet which I find expensive in France... In airports, it's the same thing, around 10 Euro for 24 hr or 3 euro per hour !!! )
Lorient is not a busy town so you might get fed up quickly and not know what to do... The shops aren't far away from the Hotel, that's ok !
Food in the Hotel is okay, but being in Bretany, I would recommend you to go to the Varoius Restaurants around... I can't remember the names of a very nice restaurant specialised in seafood ! L'Avenue is also a nice restaurant if you prefer having French cuisine instead of the numerous "creperies bretonnes", pancakes is a speciality in this region!
Next to the Hotel, there's a Pub (Shamrock Pub) - the look inside is just like a foos english / irish pub but not the atmosphere :( If there's any French Ligue1 matches, you can forget watching a Premierleague, even that being Liverpool v/s Manchester Utd.
