Found this hotel after coming to the end of a 400 mile motorcycle ride so was tired and in need of a shower!
It's easily found off a roundabout, but the entrance to the car park can be missed, I did due to a lorry parked in the adjacent lay by! The staff speak realty good English, and bless the boy who served me in the restaurant who alologised for his bad English. Wrong. It is me who is in his country and the apology is mine for my awful schoolboy French!
I had room 109, which was a little tired and was really spoiled by a large stain on the carpet as you walk in. The bed was immaculately clean and the room overlooked the car park. Being a light sleeper, I was woken by a delivery lorry backing into the car park at 0400 hrs. Knowing I was unable to get back to sleep I was on the road by 0430, interrupting the delivery men's coffee as I asked for my own and my bill! Can't they deliver later or quieter?
If you have wi fi, again it would not connect. My iPad was only able to connect at one of the three Ibis hotels I stayed in during this trip. I was able to use an Internet computer, but it had a French keyboard (of course) and it took twice as long to write an email... And then the timer cut in and I had to start all over again.
The food was very pleasant and simple, catering for all tastes. The bar area is in reception but is small. There is the BBC World News on one of the channels on the tv in your room.
The best feature of the hotel is it's staff. I was given a very nice welcome and very good service, where my English was understood. They were non assuming and tried to help where they could, eg wi fi connection not working against their Orange system. The only reason I would not recommend this hotel would be due to the delivery lorry engine running at 0400 outside the guest rooms as I'm sure this might be a regular occurrence.
