I spent a week in Kyriad with two of my colleagues in a room that was supposed to be a triple but turned out to be a double with a bunk bed. Nice for a family, maybe, but not for three grown-ups. This was not actually the hotel's fault. I'd put the blame on our travel agent.
The room smelled like someone had been smoking there - really smoking. We couldn't get rid of the smell in a week, it was stuck. The decor is from the eighties: pastel colors and thin-worn materials. Rooms are really small and the beds take up all the space - nowhere to put your bags...
Otherwise everything was very clean. Our towels and sheets got changed every day. Not a speck of dirt anywhere. The staff at the desk is very helpful although their English is not what you would call fluent.
Breakfast is ample by French standards: baguette, croissants, toast, cheese, jams, the usual drinks...
I might go there again as the location is very good and practical but if I really wanted to enjoy the atmosphere of a small French town and maybe be with a loved one, I'd choose another hotel.
