We booked this online the night before our arrival and the only room left was a triple. Staying in an old convent certainly appealed to us but the interior has very little character. The room was disappointing when we first saw it. Clean but absolutely no frills or charm. However, we accepted we weren't paying much. We were glad of the extra space the triple gave us. It would have been very cramped otherwise. It's just a shame such a historic building couldn't have been converted more sympathetically.
We found the staff pleasant enough but reception closes early so beware.
The WIFI in the room was hopeless. You could just about get a signal if you sat on the floor by the door but even that wasn't reliable.
The hotel parking is unusual - in a field which is part of a neighbouring property. As other reviewers have mentioned, there's probably free on street parking nearby if you want to look for it.
The best thing about the hotel is the location in the historic old town. It's in a lovely old street (quite tricky to find on first arrival) within very easy walking distance of all the sights and restaurants of Sarlat.
