This hotel is about a ten minute walk to the medieval centre of a remarkable town. We stayed for three nights in mid-April. While the room we had seemed rather small and the elevator only held about 3 people, the facilities were on the whole just fine. The breakfasts were more than adequate with a good variety of breads, croissants, cereals, yoghurts, cheeses, cold meats, coffee and juice. We couldn't have asked for more friendly and helpful staff. The internet is wireless, worked well and was included in the room price.

The bathroom had a combination bath / shower which takes a bit of adjusting when taking a shower. There was also a heater in the bathroom which made it very convenient to wash and dry a bit of laundry.

On Wednesday there is a large open air market in the centre of town which is known for foie gras, truffles, walnut oil, cheeses and duck. Could spend a lot of time here. Lots of ideas for gifts to take back home! We ate at a wonderful restaurant - the Quatre Saisons which serves the local specialties and also has a good selection of wines from the Dordogne. All in all a nice location and hotel to stay in for visiting this beautiful region of France

My wife and I, experienced travelers, arrived late one night in earky May. Our very clean large and comfortable double room was held till midnight, while we found a good place to eat in medieval and popular Sarlat. Mme. Marie, the proprieter and manager could not have been nicer and looked after our every request with a smile and often with a heart-warming laugh. Celi and Amelie at the desk were constantly helpful, After a full day of walking or otheriwse touring by car and visits to nearby sites, knowing we have a very large comfortable room which we chose even above the normal large roomand its b ath and good double bed made the day richer and enhanced our pleasure and comfort. All was perfectly clean and well attended, the breakfast was just right, and Marie and staff perfect. The hotel is about five minutes walk to the medieval city, Need I say more?

This is a very recently renovated Best Western Hotel that has been renovated beautifully and gives excellent value for money. The reception staff were very friendly, the quality and size of the rooms excellent. A nice easy 5 minute walk to the incredibly amazing town of Sarlat which has an incredible number of 14th and 15th century buildings. Sarlat is a great start point for exploring the grottes (caves) and chateaux of the Dordogne. At 91 euros a night it was top value.

We found this hotel to be very clean and very comfortable. We were given a room in the newly refurbished annexe, which was great. It's a good base to explore this superb old town and is only a few minutes to walk into the centre. Although the hotel has no car park, we had no trouble getting parked in a nearby street for free. Didn't use the pool, but it looked very nice. We got a good deal on the BW website, but breakfast was not included. If you don't fancy spending the 12.50 Euros per head, there's plently of small restaurants in the town which do an adequate petit dejuner for around 5.50. I would certainly recommend this hotel, but the only thing preventing me from giving it a 5 is that we did suffer from early morning traffic noise, but then we're light sleepers and like the windows open rather that having the the A/C on. By the way there's an abundance of restaurants in Sarlat, and the prices are therefore very competitive. We would throughly recommend the Auberge Le Mirandol, 7 Rue des consuls which did an excellent 4 course meal for 14.50. We ate there both evenings and although it was very busy we didn't have to wait very long at all.
