First let me say, be sure to have a good map and clear directions. We arrived on a Saturday (market day, so it's busy in town) with our Satnav but we got hopelessly lost. Luckily we eventually spotted a sign for the hotel once we were circling the old town. Phew!

The hotel is pretty and in a quiet, suburban location. Our greeting on arrival was friendly and efficiently. Our room unfortunately had the charm of a garage conversion. Admittedly we were given a disabled room, so I can forgive some of the features like an open shower to the bathroom. The trouble was, the main door to the room was a sliding patio door which lead straight onto the tarmac (understandable for wheelchair access) so it meant you couldn't leave them open at night. There was one small window which could open and otherwise there was a really noisy fan which meant you couldn't possibly sleep with it on. I found out that other rooms had aircon - why doesn't this one?!! A hot and characterless room didn't really give me a good feel about the hotel but luckily the weather cooled down a little allowing a bit more sleep in the large and comfortable bed.

Aside from my issues with the room, this is a nice little hotel. The breakfast was good and the staff all friendly and helpful. There is a lovely swimming pool which was great for a dip at the end of a hot day. It took us roughly a 10 minute walk each way to get into the centre of Sarlat but do be warned, it's a very steep hill!

In spite of the issues which bothered me, I still think this is a nice hotel and I would recommend it. Had we had a better room, I would have given it 4/5.

we stayed in the hotel for two nights and couldnt fault it. We had a last minute booking so took a room larger than we needed as it was all that was left. It was wonderful, could only have been improved with air conditioning but as the room was spacious it didnt really matter. In mid summer it could be a problem as when the window was open anyone coming up the front steps could see inside the room.
The staff were welcoming and friendly, breakfast good in a very pleasant location and the hotel itself was attractive and welll located provided you have your own transport,
good parking was available, as was wifi.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this great little hotel.

We booked a superior double, it had a kind of four poster effect. The room was small but functional with a table & chairs, bathroom was large with a modern suite of bath with shower over & nice toiletries. The view from room was of a walk way at the rear of the hotel with fields behind, but we expected a front room with a view towards Sarlat, so presume these are the ordinary double rooms, some rooms were ground level with views of car park. Pool was cool but lovely. I wish coffee had been available in the room, but it did have a fridge and that was very useful. Sarlat is a lovely Town, friendly in the evening with some nice restaurants.

This ia a small hotel situated close to the town centre. The room was spacious and characterful, with a view towards the town. The bathroom was a bit cramped. The pool area was attractive. Buffet breakfast could be eaten outside near the pool.
A short walk down to the town centre - five minutes or so, allow a bit longer on the way back. Staff were helpful.
Electric window shutters help keep room cool.
