This hotel is very good value for money. We chose a port view room which was on the 5th floor and had a balcony overlooking the marina and Bassin. In late October it was still just warm enough to sit out.

There was free parking behind the hotel and also 2 lock-up garages at a charge, plus parking at another nearby site. The reception staff were very helpful and welcoming. The room had a double and single bed and a clean well-equipped bathroom woth bath and over-bath shower (though strangely no shower curtain). Large wardrobes and free internet access. Not luxurious but very reasonably priced and clean and comfortable.

We had breakfast at 7 euros a person and it was good, with a buffet of fruit, yogurt, croissant, rolls etc.

It was a 15 to 20 minute walk to the heart of the shops and seaview restaurants but the walk was pleasant along a lit boardwalk by the water's edge. Good choice of restaurants there with varied prices - we liked Le Victoria. Some restaurants nearer the hotel but not open every night. Lovely shops and patisseries - including good icecream parlour, chocolate shop and (bizarrely) a shop which seemed to sell only tinned sardines in many varieties!

We stayed in a room overlooking the bay and it was a big room, quite clean and tidy. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was cheap and it was quite good. The only bad thing is that if you want to go to the centre every night you have to walk 15-20 minutes. Anyway, there are several interesting restaurants nearby.

This hotel has all the facilities you need and is priced depending on the rooms outlook. It is cheaper than those in the centre of the town but the walk along the beach, which has wooden boards lit at night, and through the port area is only a fifteen minute stroll and is pleasant. The rooms overlooking the port have small comfortable balconies on which you can sit. All rooms have fully equipped bathrooms. The decor is clean and comfortable and the breakfasts adequate. If arriving by train walk straight down to the sea front and turn right along the prom. You cant miss the hotel as it is brightly lit in blue.
