This is a new hotel outside of the walls of the old town and has all of the modern conveniences you expect when traveling in America. Wifi did not require a password and came in loud and clear. The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ample with lots to choose from and very fresh. A lot of English speaking travelers. Now there are very charming hotels within the wall of this quaint village, but what comes with those rooms are dark, small rooms and older plumbing. The Schoenbourg was light, big and great showers so when you are ready for a change and want the modern conveniences this is the hotel to choose. Our view was of the vineyard and our night was very peaceful and restful. Since we were biking through the Alsace region we were very happy to land here for two nights.
Riquewihr is a village not to miss. Not very big but very beautiful. It was one of my favorites.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The location was perfect...just a short walk to the beautiful village of Riquewihr. Behind the hotel are rows of grape vines as far as you can see. Rooms on the front have views of vineyards, hot air balloons and the village. The rooms are big and filled with sunlight. All of the front desk personnel were very sweet and helpful about directions, etc. The free Wifi was also nice. If you need airconditioning, you will need to tell the front desk because in nice weather they cut it off to the entire hotel. My daughter gets allergic reactions to bug bites so we had to keep the windows shut in the evenings which caused the room to heat up considerably. We were there in late Sept. Highly recommend this hotel!

recently stayed in this hotel for 3 out of 5 nights booked. No complaints about the hotel as such, recognise & accept much of the positive comment elsewhere
Although hotel has disabled access/rooms the restaurant is in a seperate building & has no obvious wheelchair access ..
come to think of it neither does much of Riquewihr which is why we ended up eating in Keyserberg & moving on earlier than planned!

Nice but just not for anyone in a wheelchair or with severely restricted mobility

Excellent location amidst wine vineyards. Charming, comfortable, atmosphere inside and out. Absolutely lovely! Walking distance to old town center and winery for wine-tasting. Lovely, comfortable rooms, sparkling clean, very good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Great value.
