Stayed en route to Switzerland and on the return journey. Both times we had a superior room to give us space for our travel cot and the room was perfectly nice. The hotel is a bit strange in that the reception desk person seems to do everything - check-in, bar, waitress.... so there can be a bit of a wait. And don't expect a smile.
The restaurant is rated highly in the Logis de France guide. We ate there both times, - first time (a Friday) we all had the set menus and the food was good. The second time (a Saturday) only one set menu applied so we chose from the a la carte. What a huge disappointment after our first experience. Partner and I had quiche a la fromage blanc. The puff pastry was soggy and the middle was super-heated, classic signs of being microwaved. My partners main course of salmon was so tiny that we debated asking the waitress where the rest of it was! Conversely my mother had a dish that consisted of a massive pile of choucroute and about half a pig.Not exactly exciting cuisine.
As for breakfast, 15 Euros will get you coffee out of a machine, some bread, hard croissants, jam and a few options of cheese and ham. It's really not worth it and I've had far better breakfasts in France for less. If you have to stay here, then there's a boulangerie down the road that does petit dejeuner for Euro 1.50 (coffee and a massive pastry)
