We stayed in a standard room, which was very, very small even though the price of the room was steep. This hotel has a spa, but it did not feel at all like a spa hotel. It felt more like a comfort inn or something of that caliber. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

We selected this hotel for our family Christmas break (6 adults, 2 children) for the second time after 1999. Since then, the hotel improved its spa facilities although the concept of getting towels in the sauna and of the sauna being a quiet area are still unknown of.

Overall, the hotel merits its four stars (especially for a French hotel) although the larger rooms need renovation (carpet is old, beds are very soft). The bathrooms have been renovated recently and are in good shape.

We were quite disappointed by the food on Christmas Eve which was served in a hurry (6 courses in 1.5 hours!). However, the food and serving improved over the following two evenings significantly, so that we were not too disappointed.

This spa and hotel in Alsace on the wine road was a complete gamble for me. Now that I have visited and spent four days there, I can say that it was a fantastic stay!

My room was cozy and had an amazing view of the mountains. The bed was very comfortable and the marble bathroom was great.

Since I was really looking to relax on this trip, I booked several spa treatments. I would highly recommend the Hot Stone Massage and the Basic Facial. After each treatment, I would spend time in The Quiet Room which had heated water beds. The spa also offers many different saunas, steam rooms, etc.. Americans should remember that the Europeans are sometimes more comfortable without their clothing in the spa. The hotel also has a great indoor pool.

The food at the hotel is the most amazing food I have ever had on a vacation. The meals were all included in the price of our room. The food alone made the trip worthwhile!

The surrounding scenery is almost too much for the eyes to take in plus you aren't too far from Strasbourg about 30 minutes.

The hotel visitors are mostly families and couples.

The staff was friendly and gracious. English is not their first language, but I had no problem understanding the employees. I speak no French but found no problems on my entire trip there.

I cannot recommend this hotel enough! I had an amazing time and will definitely return.

The room was OK but looked out over someone eles's patio ? Also we turned down the first room which overlooked the road and had a very small North facing window. The staff were friendly and helpful and the owner 'graced us' with her presence on both evenings. The restauarnt was to a very high standard but strangly had fois gras on 3 of the 4 starters both evenings. The meal cost and arm and a leg, but the wine list is a great read. The Head waiter was friendly and helpful in a gushing sort of way. Our 2 night stay cost £800 !
