We used the Hotel du Parc whilst visiting our daughter, who is presently studying in Mulhouse. There was no particular reasoning to our choice, we liked the pictures on the website. Dangerous I know, however, we weren't disappointed.
After our experience overnight in London, this was a welcome change. My mood on arrival was compounded by an hour's delay on departure from Heathrow and the loss of some of our luggage. On arrival at the hotel, we were politely informed we were a little early for check in and our room was not ready,so they offered to take our luggage and we headed for lunch!! A fair swap! We returned late afternoon and were given an internal room on the second floor. a good choice I am not a huge fan of rooms overlooking the main street.
We unpacked and settled in, the room was a reasonable size with a decent size bathroom complete with a hairdryer, Mrs M's must have!! You would not believe the level of grief I get if there is no hairdryer.
The lobby and bar area have some pleasant features includung leather sofas and a fire, not a bad place to be when the mornings were a tad chilly.
Each evening there was a pianist in the bar which created a pleasant atmosphere, whilst enjoying an aperitif. We were fortunate during our stay, it was happy hour between 6.30 & 8.00.
We never ate at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food, all I would say is, if it tasted as good as some of the plates looked it would probably have been very good.
We enjoyed the hotel, the staff were polite, helpful and friendly. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we enjoyed our's. I would have no hesitation recommending the Hotel du Parc.
