Le Pinarello is a wonderful hotel, located near a very nice beach and only 20 minutes away by car from Palombaggia and Porto Vecchio center. I have stayed a few days in the Ruscana suite, which was amazing, very large, and nicely decorated. However, I also stayed a few nights in a standard room, which had a very nice view on the beach, but which also was very small and not so well decorated ... In my opinion, if you go for the Standard rooms, you might be disappointed by the room, but the rest is excellent (hotel amenities, front beach, excellent staff service, spa, etc ...). I would recommend it, although it is an expensive hotel (around 450 eur per night in sumer).

After doing lots of research of hotels In Corsica, we decided to stay at Le Pinarello because they were the only property (at the time of booking) that had an ocean view room...boy are we glad!
Not only was our room literally on top of the sand, the entire property was beautiful. They have no more than 30 rooms, the staff was absolutely lovely, our room was cleaned on time every day, turn down service/fresh towels at night, they gave us a complimentary Champagne bottle + fruit basket as it was our honeymoon and I could just keep complementing them forever!!

The location; the hotel sits on a small street on Porto Vecchio, right next to it are a few restaurants (high end "Le Rouf" and "Sel et Fleur") which were both excellent as well as some moderate priced places right next to them.
The hotel has most of their rooms only a few meters away from the beach, while their suites are across the street. The beach had beach chairs and umbrellas readily available and it was reserved for hotel guests as other tourists never came our way.

The staff; from the front desk to the maid to the valet I just have to say "WOW". My French is very basic but they all spoke English well enough that I never had any issues (My wife is French and came to my rescue several times though). Every one was happy to help every day.

The "other hotels"; we took the time to go around the island and check out the other properties we were looking at prior to booking Le Pinarello and none were "as advertised". We feel that Le Pinarello indeed has the best location of any beach hotel in all of Porto Vecchio and Saint Giulia.

We stayed here for 6 nights and loved the place. The hotel is directly on the white-sand-turquoise-water Pinarello beach. Rooms are simple and not excessively big, but very chic and comfortable. Breakfast and lunch were somewhat overpriced compared to other hotels of similar category we stayed in during our visit to Corsica but they are served in a lovely terrace directly over the beach. The restaurant is closed for dinner but the hotel is "associated" with the nearby restaurant Le Rouf which serves great fresh fish and lovely steak tartare in an incredibly beautiful setting -also right above the tranquil beach (and, by the way, not overpriced at all). Totally recommend it.

Our suite was relatively spacious and pleasantly furnished with lovely sea views -however, our teenagers' standard room next door was cramped with not enough storage space. Both rooms had good balconies. Our shower (over the bath) was useless and flooded an otherwise perfectly nice bathroom. Our daughters had a good shower but no bath. I thought the carpet was very suitable for a seaside hotel (see next review).

Extras were expensive but the staff were helpful, pleasant and reasonably efficient. The restarant linked to the hotel was very expensive, had a limited menu and, on the one occasion we went there, we had very poor service (but there are other restaurants along the beach).

I agree with the previous reviewer's comment about the birds - we were on the ground floor and had no problem but I would have been extremely unhappy had I been given a room with birds nesting on the balcony - I imagine that the mess would make the balcony unusable.

The beach was free of any rubbish and the sea clean and crystal clear when we were there.
