rarher artistic and enchanting appearance , quiet , nice architecture and design conception , but slept at the piscine area , on garden beds , because of the strong smell of mold. left the door and windows open, didn't help ! hoped at least the second night would be better , no chance . appreciated the decoration style, but the bed was the smallest ever met in a double room hotel. no room internet , even though the advertising promises ..the proximity to neighbours so close , you could hear snoring and tv, water flushing in bathroom. try to change rooms , even if hotel was half empty mrs manger, madame directrice, said wasn't possible . all they can do was return money at the travelagency if i find myself another hotel. nice dream ! but , hardly ever seen so nice beaches...

We have holidayed in Corsica for a number of years, but never before at an hotel. This hotel was just what we needed. It has a great location just 5 mins from the main road to the airport and the two main towns Porto Vecchio and Bonifacio. 10 mins from multitude of beaches. It is very laid back you are not aware that anyone else is staying there. Breakfast is served on a terrace with good coffee, fruit, pastries and ham etc. The pool area is well designed as are the beautiful gardens. Our room was up some steps with the most wonderful view from our own terrace. It was large and well ventillated. One critisism was the bed, too small. The hotel does not have a restaurant but you dont need one. 2 min walk around the corner is the most wonderful Pizzaria/restaurant. It gets very busy from 8pm all the locals eat there! They even have impromptue local singing. One of the best steaks weve had. We ate there every night bar one and no need to drive. The staff at the hotel were lovely and very helpful. If you like peace and quiet and quirky charm this is the place. Access to some rooms can be difficult and children should be discouraged.

We decided to visit Corsica for the first time last August with our two children and as I left it quite late, I found it hard to get accommodation. When I called the Roc e Fiori, I was offered a two bed 'apartment' with private jaccuzi and separate living area for a large amount of money.

When I arrived, we were shocked. The apartment was small, very basic decor and quite tricky to get too with luggage. The jacuzzi was a tiny dirty plunge pool with freezing cold water.

They ran out of towels every day and did not allow us to keep a few basic food items in the fridge like milk and biscuits.

Definitely not worth what I paid for and would never go back.

This hotel promised so much, and delivered very little. It is far from the centre of Porto Vecchio, up an uninspiring road, with only a pizzeria of the plastic chair variety around the corner for company.

We had booked a "privilege room" but I would have named it a "Holiday Inn" Room completely with nasty synthetic bedspread.

The grounds were depressing and needed attention, the whole mood of the place was off - felt like a reasonable hotel fallen on hard times / ghost hotel.

The biggest issue here was the price. When compared with what else was on offer around the area (but sadly booked up) or to London hotels, this came up massively short - a beautiful room at Claridges would be significantly cheaper than this place and worth twice as much.

In the end, my boyfriend and I were so depressed by Roc e Fiori that we went back to Bonifacio and stayed there, leaving our synthetic bedsheet and 1980s bathroom untouched.
