The hotel is set in a stunning location high above the sea and offers a splendid panorama. Generally, the structure fits the area well, with low buildings built in natural stone and wood, nestled in the vegetation.
We had booked a mini villa or suite pavillonaire with a kitchenette for EUR 455 a night.
The room was clean. From the materials (towels, soap etc) in the room we could take it that the services were fine. Moreover, the staff of the hotel was very friendly, precise and professional when checking us in (and also when handling our wish to leave in advance). So far the good side.
Our main concern however, and that was what made us leave after the first night instead of staying longer (we had booked initially for two nights) was that the quality of the room (walls, doors, windows) and the furniture did not justifiy the price we paid. They had, in short, a cheap feel to them. Moreover, the position of our room was not as private as we had supposed it to be for the price we paid - regardless of the fact that, in general it may be considered sufficient as seaview and privacy is concerned. This is, in our opinion, not the mistake of the management of the hotel or anything they can do about it. The hotel was simply realised not in line with the standards one can expect for the price we paid.
We have seen in these days that the prices in Corsica are quite steep. That is why we initially were prepared to pay the price the hotel asked for the room (which is what we have done in other locations in this vacation). However, after seeing what was on offer for the price, we were simply feeling ripped off and decided to leave. Had the price been lower, we would have been happy with what was on offer as - generally and as said above - it did not look bad at all.
