This is such a fantastically located hotel in the hills of Pallombaggia. The rooms are spacious, clean and confortable. The chef is amazing and dinner was really enjoyable - even with the small selection... atmosphere somewhat lacking! I had anticipated that this would be less of a family hotel - but in fact there were lots of families staying here with small kids.... not as quiet as expected!

A very charming hotel, with only a few rooms. It is ideally located, minutes away from Palombaggia beach, the most beautiful one in south corsica. I would not recommend to go for the half board because the menu is not varied and they are not willing to make any change to it, if you ask to. Plus, there are so many amazing restaurants in the region, it would be a waste to dine every evening in the same place ! The rooms are very nice, even the cheapest ones where i stayed. However, I found it very expensive compared to other similar 4 star hotels (for example Pinarello) that offer the same service, or even a better one. They have a small pool which is nice when you come back from the beach. And the staff is pretty helpful : they drove us to the beach with their car because we didnt want to walk there. All in all, a nice hotel, a bit expensive, but it is that way in corsica, everything is very expensive since you are on an exceptional island :-)

The whole hotel looks very nice, materials are wood and stone, it fits perfectly to the surrounding nature and offers a stunning view on the sea that you can enjoy from the pool or from the restaurant area right next to it. It feels and looks like a very secluded place when you sit on the pool terrace.

We had a "Mini villa" or "suite pavillonnaire" with a kitchenette. The cleanness of the room was fine - used tableware was always cleaned up by the cleaning lady - perfect. The interior design was lovely, every inch of the mini appartment was used cleverly. Most of the time it was totally quite.

What we disliked was was the price per squaremetre because our "Mini Villa" was in fact a mini bungalow of about only 30 square metres and didn't even offer a cozy feeling of privacy and exclusiveness because it was framed by the neighbour bungalow and a pathway on the side of our terrace (so no privacy at all) and the garage and tool shop of the hotel on the other side, just separated with a fence of straw to protect the view. We sometimes heard sawing works and we could see some trailors from our bathroom and sleeping room window. This together with a laundry rack on the terrace transmitted camping ground atmosphere. And that for 455,-€ a night was not what we wanted.

Another deception was the breakfast service and atmosphere. Breakfast is offered on the terrace next to the pool until 10 am but at 11.30 am there were still all the tables messed up, the service stuff did not clean up the tables after guests would leave. So we found ourselves sitting in the middle of waste and used tableware. The buffet just looked the same mess, still until noon.

Corsica might be a place where you have to pay high for the luxury of exclusiveness but at the same time we expected professional service at the restaurant area and some more exclusiveness regarding our privacy in our "mini villa". We left with the after taste that the price-performance ratio was wrong.
