The hotel was quiet when we were there, less than 50% occupancy. The standard room was compact, clean and adequate, sufficient hanging and draw space, towels were changed daily. TV limited to one English channel, CNN. No tea / coffee making facilities was an issue in the mornings. Breakfast was good, omelettes made to order. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, language was an issue that was overcome with sign and the staff did try. The pool area generally clean although there was some debris in the pool and the Jacuzzi, there was no lifeguard on duty. A small (25cl) local beer and wine cost €11.50.

Internet access is limited to a single PC you have to book, speed good, keyboard somewhat odd, not qwerty.

Calvi is about a 25 min pleasant walk however the hotel supply a courtesy bus every hour, it will also pick you up from Calvi up until midnight, remember to book. There is a Supermarket 20 mins walk, we bought bottled water and wine and kept in room fridge.

The hotel’s “private beach” costs an extra €19 / day for two loungers and an umbrella, it’s the same price for all, residents or not, it’s part of the main beach, there are many places to rent loungers, they all seemed the same. The sea and beach are beautiful, very clear water, 50m out before the water gets knee deep, could not be better, again booze / food expensive.

There are many nice restaurants and bars around the marina, we never came away spending less than €60 at night (for two) although that included booze. Overall we enjoyed it, at €1.50/£ it would have been brilliant. Would we go again, definitely.

We stayed here for a week in July this year. The hotel is a fair distance out of town so it is good that they run a mini-bus service there every half hour. The booking system for the bus just does not work as anyone turning up at either end of the journey gets taken. The staff seemed to be fixated about checking the mini-bar in our room and there are signs up warning guests not to store anything not from the hotel. Sun lounger at the hotel beach costs 17 euros, towel 5 euros. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a nice balcony with a view over the pool. The food in the hotel was very expensive so we headed into Calvi each evening. The area around Santa Maria was full of good retaurants and lively shops. The citadel is well worth the walk and the views over the town at night are magical.

Went in June first visit to Corsica. What a wonderful Island. Calvi is one of the best towns I have ever stayed in. Hotel 2km from town I enjoyed walking to beach each morning and returning for breakfast. Omlette/crepe made for you on request otherwise much as any hotel. Room was pool/sea view - magnificent view from small balcony. Otherwise room and bathroom were fine. Hotel completely dead atnight due to expensive but uninspiring restaurant and drinks prices as others have described. Most people went via shuttle (excellent Mercedes van) to town Could not count the number of restaurants there. Quality fantastic. Try Santa Maria next to the Chapel. On return to Hotel most folks had brown paper bags, most likley with a bottle of the fine MUSCAT at 7-12 Euros from the Casino - supermarket - rather than pay half a mortgage for a wee drop MUSCAT from the hotel. Would recommend the hotel and if they adjusted their prices to the CALVI town prices the hotel would have a bit more life & business at night. Ideal for a chill out week.
