Stayed here for part of our Island hopping trip for 4 nights. The first thing we were told was the electricity would be off the following morning from 8-11am so no hot food and, as it is pumped by electric, no water! It turned out the power came back on at about 4.30pm. Breakfast was basic to say the least but due to the situation we didn't think anything of it. When it came to the next 3 mornings and they were exactly the same then we realised this wasn't not a great choice for food.

The pool bar although in evidence wasn't open. The Roof Garden is a few chairs stuck on the roof (hardly a garden).
The pool was deserted with no atmosphere whatsoever.

We have just got back from a brilliant holiday at this wonderful hotel. Before we booked I read the reviews on here and went with an open mind. We were delighted with the warm welcome from Jackie and Marco and found everything to be completely fine with our room and the hotel. We had room 126 and it was very spacious and extremely clean, had hair drier and tv with remote control showing BBC world news as well as other channels. The room was typically Greek and somewhat basic, but light and airy and exactly what you need for a holiday. For the price of the holiday I was extremely pleased.
Venturing out into the resort we were delighted with the beach nearby and the bus service to so many other beaches and places to visit. We paid only E1.40 each on the bus to either the village or the port. Both of those places were good for a wander around. The weather was good whilst we were there and we paid for the air con very happily.
All in all we thought the holiday was excellent value for money, our hosts were very decent people, the locals were very respectful....even the bus drivers who stopped to pick up passengers who were not at the bus stop.
The island is wonderful and the hotel is just fantastic. If you are looking for a genuinely decent hotel that is not pretending to be anything other than a traditional Greek holiday hotel, then you will love it too. If you want the Ritz for the price of a Travelodge then you are likely to be disappointed.

My wife, daughter and I have recently returned from a wonderful holiday in Ios. Marcos, Jackie, Harry and Alex were very welcoming hosts and the hotel very clean and comfortable, with a beutiful pool and terrace area. The breakfast room staff and our cleaner were excellent, also.Our room was spacious with a tremendous sea view. Mylopotas Beach is stunning and Ios Town has a huge variety of good restaurants and boutiques - all in all charm itself.
Jackie was particularly helpful, supporting my daughter, when my wife was very poorly on the last night and could not do enough for us. Thanks also to Maria, our taxi driver who became a true friend -n.b. get a taxi into town and walk downhill back.
On the minus side, the hotel is slightly more elevated than the brochure description, breakfast lacked variety, rooms would benefit from a fridge and the air-conditioning in the lounge/ breakfast room was never switched on despite temperatures of 37 Centigrade at times!
All in all though, we could not have had a better hoiday.

Came here for a week on 10th August. Had a family room plus a single room for our 16 year old. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends. The family of owners are friendly and helpful, and although the nearby beach is lovely, we spent several enjoyable afternoons just relaxing by the pool at the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Would recommend the air conditioning option in August. Nearby Chora is easily accessible by bus or taxi for a wide choice of eating out in the evenings or nightlife. We found eating nearby along the waterfront at Mylopotas beach more expensive and not as good. And the hotel owners are helpful at suggesting places to visit, car hire etc. A very happy holiday for us.
