“Great hotel, great value, handy for NEC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 October 2011

Our usual hotel for the NEC was a bit tired last time we visited and was asking for more than the Day's Inn. We'd read some positive reviews before we booked. Pleased to say our stay matched those reviews. Car parking was easy. And FREE. Our room was at the end of the corridor next to the stairs - but no clashing door noise. We had the window open and occasionally could hear a lorry engine etc in the services. Lovely spacious modern room with a double bed and a single (just two of us so ample space). We opted for the continental breakfast and were expecting a 'happy meal' bag left at the door with a tub of orange you can't drink from, plastic spoons etc. We were greeted by the very pleasant receptionist delivering breakfast on a tray - deluxe yogurts, cereal of choice, croissants, apples and bottles of orange juice. And real bowls and cutlery. We'll definitely be back.
Eating out is a car journey if the Welcome Break services don't appeal. The food there is inexpensive and ok for somewhere to eat rather than dine.
One word of advice, as this is part of the motorway services complex you may have to drive a junction past and come back on yourselves - however the services are labelled Northbound and Southbound on a bit of road that runs very definitely east-west - so best to pull through the first Corley services you come to just in case. About 15 minutes by motorway from NEC - not right next door but not a hard drive with the sat nav.

Room Tip: we had a double plus single room with a walk in shower

“GREAT PLACE TO STAY”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

I booked this the day before we stayed, and paid £50 for an executive room. So glad we paid the extra, it was worth it just for the air con. Arrived feeling very hot frazzled and with a bad headache. Walked in, and the lass on reception was very nice and helpful. It was great to get into the room and switch the Air Con onto max and feel the cool air. The room was large, and clean, and it was so nice to have proper sized mugs for our tea, and a fridge so that we could keep the milk we had bought cool. I asked at reception if they had a sewing kit I could buy, as I needed to replace a button, and she gave me one free of charge. The following morning she explained how to use the service road to get onto the other side of the motorway. They were also happy to accept the dogs. Even my husband was impressed! We will be choosing Days Inn over Travelodge from now on.

Room Tip: Choose an executive room for the air con and fridge

“My favourite business hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011 via mobile

OK, it is on the motorway at the services, and you do have the problem of it being on the wrong side if you are (hem) on the wrong side.

Having said that, I love this Hotel, it is very clean indeed, nice fresh well decorated modern rooms, the Executive Rooms have superb power showers, all in all considering the cost and proximity to the NEC I cannot fault this hotel at all.

“Would stay again”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

Stayed for two nights, booked a family room for two adults and three small children. The room was clean, contemporary, everything was in working order and despite being close to the motorway it wasn't noisy. Reception were friendly and helpful. Was also good value, we booked up a couple of days before and got just under £40 per night. Would be happy to stay again.
