I stayed with my wife and 2 children at the hotel and must say that it has by far the most polite, pleasant and friendliest staff I have come across staying in hotels. The evening meal was beautiful and the ample breakfast was amazing. We happened to wake up the following morning to a blanket of snow which only emphasised more what a beautiful setting this hotel is situated in. The room we had was huge and extremely clean and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us and buggy etc etc I will definitely be staying here again. Excellent work to all involved in managing this establishment. Keep up the good work.

Attended meeting and overnight stay. A good meeting and conference venue with some nice touches on the catering, e.g. little fruit smoothie shots and tasty pastries at the tea and coffee station, and a good lunch buffet with 'live' pasta combo station - great idea for any restricted diet delegates.
Our smaller meeting room was partitioned, so some noise leaked through from the adjacent meeting.
The room was large, clean and comfortable, bathroom rather 'institutional' with system pressure shower which was a little weak.

Myself and 3 friends recently stayed at Hellidon Lakes for a spa break and had a lovely time. The pros are -
1. Large, comfortable rooms overlooking golf course.
2. Polite, helpful, professional staff, everyone was lovely.
3. Spa area nice although tad strange relaxation room is not next door to it.
4. Food really good especially dinner which was excellent and service good.
5. Large area to relax with sofas and tables
The cons are -
1. Swimming pool area quite small for size of hotel with only about 6 loungers but was fine
2. Changing rooms very dated and several lockers broke and no separate changing cubicles

The cons will not put us of returning and I would definately recommend. We are already planning another trip but perhaps when weather nicer and can make the most of the large grounds the hotel is on and enjoy a glass of wine on the upstairs terrace.

Our stay was one night for a club dinner. We were very impressed with the outstandingly good staff and facilities in the spa, but the pool was a bit small and looking rather tired. The steam room was fine, but we were surprised to find no sauna. The hotel room was adequate although if staying longer we'd have asked for the shower mixer to be serviced - it was so stiff to move that it was hard to set the desired temperature. The service and quality of the food at the dinner was excellent. Several people coming to the dinner could not find the hotel in a timely manner - the hotel's own website shows its location incorrectly - see the attached picture.
