well, there are some alternatives but they are further out. When I stayed here my room smelt of damp although it was fairly large. Many of my colleagues had very small rooms however...There was some building work going on...they started at 7 in the morning and woke us all up. I also got woken up by persistent lift action at 5 am.
it'll do...but don't expect to enjoy staying there...

Not the best hotel...but it seems to be the only hotel on the island (well in Leirvik). When I arrived it was only a few minutes walk away from the bus/ferry area. I was only staying for one night. When I arrived it was 5:30pm and they hadn't finished cleaning my room. My friend arrived around 6pm and her room was also not ready. She thought it was the only hotel on the island. I waited in the reception which was nice. They have a restaurant but it didn't do anything like pizza or chips (or anything quick). When my room was ready I found the door wouldn't open. The cleaner kicked it and it worked! The room was nice inside despite there being gummy bears on the floor and hair - was it cleaned? It was also a very small room and you could hear everything going out outside and in the room above. The bed was comfy. When I checked out the next day I had a 20 minute wait as there was only one person serving on reception and it looked like they had just held a convention there (so many people were checking out). I think I would probably end up staying here again, because it was conveniently close and I never saw anywhere else!
