In August I went to Italy for a few weeks and i spent a few days at the hotel Acquaviva.
The hotel Is very very nice, modern with a wonderful design. The rooms are very big with a beautiful view of the lake.
During the day we stayed at the hotel sunbathing by the pools or we used to relax in the Jacuzzi just by the lake.
We didn’t use the pool and the sauna in the spa very much but I tried the massages and some of the beauty treatments and the were pretty good.
In the evening we ate at the restaurant and the food was delicious just as you would expect it to be in Italy!!!!
I will certainly go back to this hotel and I recommend it to everyone.

We moved from Hotel du Parc @ Colombare nr Sirmione to Hotel Acquaviva nr Desenzano and it was as if we moved from the ridiculous to the sublime. When we first walked into the foyer we could see that this was a totally different experience, - from the dramatic fountains to the smiling, ever helpful receptionists and the lovely facilities. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the bedrooms large and airy and the views superb. Mealtimes were a delight as were the polite, professional and welcoming staff who, regardless of how busy they were, always found time to talk and even taught us some new Italian phrases- yet they were never intrusive. We were on a half board basis for 14 days, yet we were never presented with the same menu twice and each meal was beautifully prepared,cooked and presented, we even followed the example of other guests and took photographs of the wonderful deserts! All in all we could not find a fault with this hotel and look forward to returning next year.

I ‘ve been to Hotel Acquaviva quite a few times (on businnes and with my family) and I dont’ understand why some people write such things about this wonderful hotel : don’t believe to the last few comments.
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, very modern and very clean: no stains, no cobwebs and no dust.
The staff is very polite with everyone: if you need something you just have to ask the girls at the reception , they are willing to help you at any time. Also the restaurant staff is very kind and the food and service are perfect. I can’t understand why some people write that the food is very poor, this isn’t the case. (well these people ask for running water in a four stars hotel!!)
I would certainly recommend this hotel to all my friends for a relaxing and wonderful holiday !!

Travelled with GRJ. Hotel very poor. 1st night was buffet - terrible, the hot food was cold and had to be taken back to be reheated when it was returned it had been microwaved and the gravy was stuck to the pork. I have had better breakfasts in 2 star establishments. Water was contaminated but the hotel refused to provide drinking water, you had to buy it. Apart from reception, the staff were most disagreeable - not at all like Italians, they obviously didn't enjoy working there.

The cleaning of the hotel was poor. Accumulations of dust and cigarette ends were at the bottom of each stair case, my bathroom had to be disinfected every day to keep the smell of the drains to a pitch where I didnt have to hold my breath everytime I went into the bathroom. The lamps in the bar area hung in cobwebs which had collected flys and cobwebs were in the corners of the ceiling. Seeing them made us itch.

The out door pool stairs were loose in their fittings and the water very cold indeed. The indoor poor atmosphere was so warm you could hardly breath. The waterside area was dirty and the spa absolutely disgraceful.
