Belated review, but we stayed here for a week in August 2010; we had my then 18 month year old daughter with us. All I can say is the hotel is well located, the rooms were clean and the breakfasts were decent, having breakfast overlooking the harbour was amazing. It's an excellent base for visiting surrounding places, specifically Bardolino and Simione which are both beautiful places but Desenzano has plenty of charm and has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants to keep you busy. Overall a good value for money hotel in a very good location. You can't go wrong.

our first trip to lake garda. arrived here from stay in venice and it was good to have a restful stay. hotel was very welcoming and staff very helpful. the room although small was modern, clean and comfortable. bathroom too was well presented although the shower with a step down and an erratic shower control was a bit of a challenge. however, hope to return and stay again this time for a bit longer.

Just back from Desenzano where we stayed at the Piroscafo Hotel for a week. Location of this hotel is perfect, right next to everything. Rooms are a bit basic but clean, breakfast was ok but having a toaster would have made it better. Staff were friendly and very helpful especially the lovely lady on reception who was always very willing to assist. All in all a great wee hotel in a perfect location.

I stayed at the Piroscafo hotel for 3 days and i only have good things to say about it.

The location is perfect, overlooking a beautiful small harbour and just a couple of minutes from the lake front, ferry and busses.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and the inclusive breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of fresh food each morning.

The hotel terrace is free to use for all guests and is a lovely place to lounge on a hot day.

My single room was fine for me and was cleaned daily.

Good value, great location, nice staff, and highly recommended by me.
