Having an agriturismo in Tuscany helps, I understand. This is one of the most beautiful places on the planet. Having said this and discounting for this fact, we were still positively flabbergasted by this Agriturismo.

Food and wine: amazing, a lot, fresh and such good value. The olive oil from the place is absolutely amazing
Hospitality: warm, and in a pleasant way; leaving room for you to relax while offering top service during breakfast, diner or whenever we needed something (e.g. wireless internet)
Facilities: these people understand what guests look for; no ultra posh interiors, but warm and well chosen. Relaxing chairs at the pool side. A nice pool, long enough for serious laps.

All in all: wow!

two perfect weeks spent in a beautiful setting, food superb,warm hospitality second to none, accomodation excellent, surrounding wonderful. We came away feeling as if we had made new friends. Will certainly be going back.

We have just returned from Il Mulinaccio and have to tell everyone what a fantastic place this is! We have a 19 month old daughter and as this was our first holiday abroad since she was born we were very excited, not to mention the fact we were getting married in Volterra as well! We were not disappointed in any way, the rooms are gorgeous, our bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in bar our own, decorated in a rustic way, with the added bonus of air con - which you do need in August, the pool is the perfect size and there are plenty of sunbeds, chairs and parasols, everything is of the highest quality. The location of Il Mulinaccio is perfect. Approx ten minutes from Volterra, 20 minutes from San Gimignano, and 45 minutes from Pisa, and plenty of places in between.
Federica and Alessio are the perfect hosts and we loved the food at Osteria Mulinaccio so much we chose to have our wedding dinner there. My (new) brother in law is a chef and he said his meal was the best food he had ever had, which we think is high praise.

The landscape around Il Mulinaccio is breathtaking and there is an amazing view which ever way you look but especially as you drive into Volterra. You see cars parked at the sides of the roads with people equally as awestruck as we were, taking photos!

We are planning a trip for hopefully next year and will be going back to Il Mulinaccio without a shadow of a doubt!

The most beautiful location and buildings. Very typical Tuscan. Beautiful food every night. Wonderful hosts - molto gentile. A very relaxed atmosphere. You feel very close to nature - picking cherries from the trees, and seeing the fireflies dance around at night.

My only complaint is the pillows - I know Italians do love a flat pillow - however these were lumpy and nearing retirement age. I hope they have replaced them all with lovely fluffy pillows for our next visit!! (We will go back).
