“Great Italian Palazzo converted into a great Hotel”

We stayed there in January 2006 during our journey to Rome and really enjoyed our stay. Our room was big and furnished with a good taste. There is a nice aristocratic atmosphere in the whole hotel.
We did also have dinner at "La Scuderia" restaurant, next door...it's worth the trip to Civita Castellana!
And in this nice, typical italian town don't miss the beautiful "Atelier Manini", just 200m. from the hotel, a really nice boutique with the most beautiful wedding dresses I have ever seen!Stefano, the designer is unbeatable.

My wife and I have stayed here three times, in fact, over the past couple of years. The rooms are classy, understated Italian 4-star. Some are a little on the small side so I would suggest upgrading to a suite (cost us only €20 more per night so it's a no-brainer, really) and then you get free entrance to the spa too (or, at least, that's what we got). The building is a lovely old converted palazzo with a lovely courtyard but the real reason to go is the restaurant next door called La Scuderia - don't be put off by the unwelcoming entrance, the food is simply fantastic, whatever you try, and incredible value too. So no hesitation - get the hotel to book you a table and give this place a go!

Contrary to earlier suggestions on Tripadviser, this hotel is not in Viterbo (I suggest Hotel Nibbio is probably the best hotel to stay in there).
