“Wonderfully relaxing and pleasant stay”

I can't fault the hotel for it's location and the relaxing atmosphere created there. Nothing was too much for the staff, with the reception, bar and waiting staff very attentive and happy to please.
Food was wonderful, we were on a trip and so it was probably that as well as the great company and atmosphere that added to the experience. Good selection of italian meals and all cooked freshly. Lots of choices of seafood which is what you would expect in this area of Italy.
Had to use Room service on one occasion and can't fault that as well as the attentive and patient barman when ordering several drinks.

Only two problems - if you can call them that, I found the outdoor swimming pool too small, although more than adequate. Also unfortunately there were bugs in the sofa in the room and some of them managed to emigrate into our suitcase back home. Bit of a disappointment to a perfectly wonderful holiday but in all it was wonderful.

This was the second of two hotels I stayed at with Page and
Moy's tour of Apulia and Vieste. Lovely setting on the edge of the Umbran forest but you would need to be in a party with organised transport or to have a car available. The hotel does provide a minibus into Vieste twice a day (six euros return). There is a large pool (sadly very cold!), and an indoor pool also very cold but this might have been because it was the end of the season. The indoor leisure centre has whirlpool bath, steam room and sauna. The whirlpool bath was tepid! There was a well equipped gym which seemed to be permanently empty but woiuld have been perfect for fitness fanatics. The bedrooms were very comfortable with spacious wardrobes, dressing table, bath robes, television (which was not always easy to work). The bathrooms were spotless,- the usual tiny shower but clean and plenty of piping hot water and fluffy towels. Bidet, washbasin and a well lit mirror too. The service in the dining room was slow at the start of the meals (iut took ages for wine orders to be placed) but the food excellent. There was a library and the reception staff were very helpful, the bar staff fun and attentive and the prices for drinks and coffees very reasonable. The garden was well kept and furnished with plenty of rattan tables and chairs. Altogether a pleasant place to stay

“Never Travel with Page and Moy.”

We had nothing against this hotel; in fact it catered very well for all your culinary and comfort needs. It is however too far away from Vieste.
However our experience with Page and Moy was a problem. We were not told that when we dined at night we would be herded on to a table of 8 people (generally over 65's,pompous and opinionated middle Englanders) and told we would have to remain on that table as we had to preorder meals, as it helped the waiters! So stuck night after night not being able to have a table for two (it was our holiday after all not P and M's) was daunting to say the least and put a dampner on our evenings, as the discussion usually centered around judgemental comments about how much one had to drink or what your social situation was. Page and Moy have a lot to learn. We were after all on holiday and being treated in this regimented manner spoilt the holiday for us. We will not travel with P and M again! We wrote to complain, but received a blase and unsatisfactory response which completely ignored our comments.
I would also like to add at the first hotel-Al Duemilla, expect to pay 30 euros for a trip to the beach for 2, and you need mosquito repellent in the hotel at night!
As a positive note our guide was excellent in every way, and was constrained by P and M's rules!
Please also note that if you are under retirement age and want some freedom this holiday is not for you.

This hotel is excellent. The food and service were first rate and the staff very friendly.
The rooms were very pleasant and clean, as was the pool area.
There is a charge of 10 euros each from the hotel to Vieste and the beach..
Forget Page and Moy though. They are not interested in your enjoyment, just you money !!!

“Stylish affordable comfort with excellent food and wine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2009

We stayed here for 5 nights as the second part of a Page & Moy holiday. Cannot really fault it with fair size modern room good shower room and excellent aircon. Breakfast was very good apart from the dreadful drinks machines which were erratic and when working dispensed various horrible powder/syrup/water mixes. Excellent rolls, croisants and yes even crispy bacon!
Evening meal (4 courses) was at times fine dining, very good (but small portions) but despite frequent complaints they could not ensure that vegetables were available when your meal arrived. When they were gone - then tough! you went without! The same complaint applied to the plates of fruit (mainly melon and pineapple) luck of the draw if they replenished them.
Wine with the meal was good and reasonably priced for the standard of hotel (we got through 5 bottles for an average 10 to 12 Euros each)
Swimming pool was very good in size and standard but we did not find the need to use the indoor one which I am told was even larger.
The Page & Moy had a high percentage of teachers/public sector staff but that is a penalty you have to pay when holidaying in August.
