This was the second hotel of the Page and Moy holiday. Again well out of the way, the hotel does run a shuttle bus to Vieste - charge made, as it was the end of the season everything was closed up. If you like walking and are not sick of the sight of olive groves then there are plenty walks. It is possible to walk to the beach about one to one and half hours walk according to your mobility and where you come out at, passed all the closed up camp sites. If coming back at night be careful as the road is not lit and the Italians aim for you, fine in daylight hours but when it was getting dark it was another story.
Hotel pleasant and peaceful, but again this might change in high season as they also had conference facilties. Food again was as good as previous hotel portions smaller, but still plentiful, but the other hotel had the edge on the food although one star lesser their food was better. Catered well for vegetarians.
Indoor pool and spa with plenty of treatments cannot comment as did not use, as just did not have the time to book appointments.
Some other guests complained the walls were very thin and they could hear every word someone in the other rooms were saying, we really did not find this an issue, as we were never disturbed.
Room was smaller than last hotel, but still nice and again no heating except one night. Other hotel room was more practical by that I mean things like more storage space somewhere to hang out door coates. We had a sea view if you can call it that and you remember the old Thomson advert a stone's throw from the beach, and you need binnocules to see the sea, yes it was a long way away.
Tour manager was not very good having been away with same tour operator to Turkey earlier in the year do not know how they could justify the difference in standards. If this was the first time we had used Page and Moy it would have probably been the last. To put in perspective had better service and knowledge from the transfer rep on a package holiday earlier in the year.
I enjoyed the comments about middle Englanders - would these be the ones who think anyone from northern England are lesser humans - yes heard the coal jokes. The same ones who have acquired the Queen's accent, but after a few drinks it usually slips back, but still cannot figure out which knife and folk to use, then you see them taking food out of the restaraunt so they don't have to pay for lunch the same ones that look down at you if you do not shop at Waitrose - it used to Marks and Spencers.
