“Superb family hotel”

With my husband and two young children, we spent most of our week's stay at Torre Barbara hotel. However, for 2 night's we couldn't be accommodated there so our agent from Naples Villas arranged for us to spend the 2 nights at Aequa Hotel. This worked out really well, as the hotel has a lovely pool, is centrally located in Vico Equense and therefore we could take the train into Sorrento etc. Also we could walk to the beach. Our agent, Alfonso Massa, arranged a great itinerary for us and helped us to save money. Theerefore we had more spending money whilst there! The hotel was also child friendly and the staff were most helpful. This hotel is ideal for families.

Room was clean; beds comfortable; bathroom clean and efficient (once I had worked out the electric motor driven fanlight). Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Only had breakfast but couldn't fault it - except the orange juice which I was warned off!

“Beautiful, charming and well-located”

I stayed at Aequa Hotel with my senior school group (a group of a bout 20-30 students + teachers) during the Easter holidays. While the rooms for some of us were small, they were charming and had everything we needed. The view from the balcony at the end of the corridor was absolutely stunning! The dining hall was also beautiful and the food was great! The staff were most polite and helpful, always offering to make you more comfortable.

The hotel was located a quick 5min walk to the train station that provided easy transport to Sorrento, Naples and other nearby locations. It was a great base to visit Pompeii, Herculaneum, Stabiae and other ancient sites. It was also close to a charming cluster of authentic Italian shops, cafes, restaurants and gelato stores!

During our stay at Aequa Hotel, we also attended several seminars in their conference rooms. Here the rooms were spacious with sturdy, individual desks and chairs with good viewing of slideshow presentations and so on.

It was a great hotel, everything about it was absolutely charming and the views breathtaking. As a school group, we're often not treated as well, but here this is not the case. I would recommend this hotel to absolutely anyone: solo, family, couple, larger group.

“Charming hotel in fantastic location”

This is a really lovely family owned hotel in a wonderful location between Naples and Sorrento, a short walk from the railway station. We were part of a group doing a classical sites tour and so were out every day but the hotel was wonderful to come back to. Be sure to make sure you get a room at the back as the view across the bay to Vesuvius is amazing, and it's nice to see the pool and lovely gardens too; and it's probably quieter. We were there in May and the pool wasn't opened at first but they opened it during the week and it was very refreshing. The service was excellent with lovely waiters. The room was fine and serviceable but not exciting, but there was so much else in this hotel's favour. Vico Equense is also a very nice untouristy place which is well worth exploring.

“Grear hotel, great staff and I will visit again”

What a nice clean, happy and central hotel.
Rooms are being updated but still retain their charm.
Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet stay in a town that has excellent transport links to Naples and Sorrento
