We stayed at this hotel on our way through to Tuscany. We were only there overnight and were greeted with warmth by the owner (i think). We did struggle to find the place as it is just outside Varese and is high in the mountains. Once you get there you dont really want to leave because of the hotels remote location. We got menus at dinner but the owner persuaded us to have the risotto and a bottle of Prosecco. This alone cost us 85 Euros and really wasnt very good. At breakfast we asked twice for some milk with our cereals but none came. We made do with pastries and a coffee. All in all for an overnight stay high up in the mountains in a clean hotel with on site free parking it is fine but think again about the restaurant - you would be better off driving somewhere else - even though this would be an extra effort.
