Stayed for a week at the Hotel Holiday from June 20th. Arrived late and the staff greeted us with a hot meal and friendly chat. Everything spotlessly clean every day. Roberto, Michael and Antonio were excellent hosts. The buffet breakfast was continental style and the evening meal was table d'hote. Mostly basic food but very well presented and faultless. The hotel is a short walk away from the lake and bars. Very peaceful. Lake Garda is a stunningly beautiful place. Ideal for relaxing and touring round but also for the adventurous mountain bikers, windsurfers, paragliders etc etc.
I will go back one day. And probably to the same hotel.
Aircon would really enhance the hotel.

We have just returned from a really relaxing break at the Hotel Holiday.

It is well situated 5 minutes from the lake, No Hills (Completely Flat). The hotel is spotlessly clean and staff very welcoming throughout our stay.

The Rooms were small, but perfectly adequate, with a small shower room. I have been in many 4 star hotels that were not as well kept as this little Hotel. - No air conditioning, but not too much of a problem in June (might be later on in the year).

The Pool was great, again spotlessly clean and we had it almost to ourselves.

The food was average, but totally what we expected in an Italian 3 Star hotel , We always found something on the menu to eat, and it was always of a decent standard. 3 Courses, with a choice of 3 dishes.

Torbole is a great resort with a really nice beach 10 minutes from the Hotel, and enough restaurants and bars to keep most people happy for a week. Riva is only 10 euros in a cab or 1.90 by Ferry.

Would recommend this hotel to a friend for an inexpensive week away to a most beautiful part of the world.

Myself and my partner, 22 and 23, have just returned from a fantastic week in Lake Garda. We initially booked to stay in Riva del Garda however our hotel was changed at last minute-for the better we later found out! Hotel Holiday is set in a quiet area, however close to the shops and restaurants and only a ten minute walk to the lake, which is such a beautiful place. There are 3 times of day when it is windy, however there is warning for this, as you see all the wind surfers getting ready to sail! The restaurants are reasonably priced and there are some lovely shops to browse around. The hotel itself was very clean and has a small pool and sun terrace. The food is delicious, but small portions! We had a fantastic gala dinner and celebrated the waiters walking round with sparklers in a roast pig!! Overall we had a brilliant week and didn't want to come home. We'll definately be visiting Lake Garda again in the near future!

The hotel is quiet, friendly and peaceful...about 5 mins walk from shops and lake. The pool area is quiet and under used. We practically had it to ourselves in June. The food was varied and well prepared and presented, and the staff were friendly. Torbole is fairly busy at the main road, about 200 metres away, and there are a fair selection of bars. There is a brill promenade walk to Riva, alongside the lake, a beautiful stroll that will take about 50 mins one way. The ferries to Limone and Malcesne are regular and cheap. All in all Torbole is a good starting point for various trips includind Venice and theDolomites. Malcesne is perhaps a more interesting place to stay, but it is very commercial and much busier than Torbole. The scenery around Torbole is simply stunning. The mountains are at their highest at this point of the lake, and it is by far the most picturesque part of the lake. The downside of this though, is that it is sometimes quite breezy there. We had an unforgetable week here. The hotel suited us perfectly, and the setting, the walks and the trips were fantastic. Reccomended.
