Just after returning from a wonderful week at the Hotel Caravel, Torbole with my family (consisting of 5) and my parents. After reading some of the reviews I was apprehensive about going. Receptionist was efficient and spoke good English. Housekeeping was excellent and very helpful upon arrival - showed us to our rooms and we exchanged a few words of both Italian/English. Good fun. Rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily with all the clean towels we required. Food was so nice. The choices were great. Everything was kept hot and replenished at all times during service at breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Rooms, including bathrooms, were spacious and more than adequate for our needs (teenagers). Hotel staff were always helpful, pleasant and friendly. Good value for money on the all inclusive deal. Good central location to Lake and shops.

Rooms were pleasent enough although by the general appearance of the hotel in general was far from a **** status.
The carpeting throughout was a general disgrace and needs urgent replacement.
The Staff were very good and spoke good english.
The catering skills left a lot to be desired. If you want to try Italian food - eat out!

After reading such negative reviews we were really surprised at the quality of this hotel. It was not noisy. Our room was large and cleaned every day. Plenty of fresh towels. Food very good. Plesant staff, many of whom spoke excellant English. Well placed for Torbole centre.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading some of the negative reviews and we enjoyed our 6 day stay.
The room was a bit small but very clean and I could hear noise for the main road and adjoining rooms, but this did not bother us.
Found the staff to be very helpful and our room was cleaned and tided up to a high standard.
It is a self service and the restaurant is a bit of a free for all and is definitely "first come first served" the British food was always cold but the Italian food was excellent.
This hotel caters for a lot of German visitors with young family's and everyone one seemed to be having a good time.
If you want peace and quite this is not the place for you, but if you like a noisy and vibrant atmosphere you will enjoy it here.
Torbole sul Garda is a excellent location and we found loads of interesting places to visit and the lake side walk to Riva is wonderful
