“Great place to stay at Lake Garda”

Found this hotel by accident as the usual one I stay at was closed for the winter. Very pleased with what I found. The owner and staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were excellent and had sky tv which was an added bonus.Only stayed 1 night so did not have a chance to try the indoor pool which I looked at and thought was a good size for a proper swim. Also did not have time for an evening meal but the breakfast was good. Would definately stay again. Not sure if I could afford to stay there in peak season but over the winter the rates were very reasonable.

Room Tip: If you ask for a superior room you even get a bathrobe and slippers!

“Good but basic”

Excellent, clean & friendly. Good food although very small portions.
Ordinary house wine expensive at 20 euro a bottle .
Had to pay for table water at 2.50 euro a bottle .
A very small lager was 4.50 euros and a Bacardi & Coke 6.50 euros .
We soon found the local bars charging 80 % less !

Room Tip: A very good location although on a busy main road so be careful trying to get across. Just buy and...

We went for dinner to this Hotel, we. were six (6) of us, I must say that the food was excellent and also the service. The owner Sergio took care of us and with his cooking next to our table he really did a good job and show.

“Good food, friendly staff, worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2011

Our 8-night stay was a last-minute booking and we were, to be honest, a bit wary of what sort of hotel we would find in such a popular resort at short notice. We needn't have worried. Almost everything about our stay was just right for us. The room was plenty big enough with a balcony and very clean, although the shower left a lot to be desired (it was perfectly clean but leaked all over the floor, no matter what we did to avoid it). The food was excellent quality every evening and the hotel rightly prides itself on this. All the staff were cheerful, helpful and friendly, and did their best to make us feel welcome. The owner himself worked alongside them in the restaurant and seemed to be around all day, every day. The hotel is 10 minutes easy walk from the centre of Torbole and a few minutes from the lakeside, with routes into town along the lake which avoid the main road. Not much in the way of noise, and sleep was never a problem. A couple of bike hire shops very close by with plenty of routes, from flat to extreme, starting from the hotel, and plenty of windsurfing opportunities on the doorstep. I didn't venture into the 'wellness centre'. All in all, a good base to explore the northern end of Lake Garda with ferry trips to the other nearby towns from the centre of Torbole. A restful few days and we were sorry to leave.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter but don't get the sun.

we recently stayed in the piccolo mondo as part of our tour. It is a family run hotel in an ideal situation. The owner was always around working along side the very hard working staff. Mohamed, the barman was indeed a really hard working member of staff with a great sense of humour. We really enjoyed our stay in Torbole & hope to go back.We had a very nice room at the back of the hotel. It was always very clean. The food was excellent & waiting staff were so good.i would recommend a stay in this great hotel
