We stayed at this location four nights. It is situated about 10 minutes outside Todi surrounded by rolling hills of beautiful landscape. The grounds are well-tended to and there is a nice pool. The house is a great renovation and we stayed in a very comfortable, smartly furnished room with a nice sized bathroom. We had a large terrace off our room that was very nice (not all rooms had a terrace), great for reading or just to sit and listen to the trees and enjoy the view of the olive trees on the hill. It’s a good location for exploring the hill towns of Umbria. The breakfast is average. However, both dinners we had (20-25 euro per person, not including wine) were absolutely fantastic. The first meal was about 7 courses of seafood, pasta, soup, and dessert…we were stuffed but couldn’t stop eating, it was delicious. The owner is very friendly but speaks limited English. He offered to set up a wine tasting at two near by, well respected vineyards (we actually ran out of time and didn’t do it). The mood in the location is quiet, relaxing, and peaceful. They also have massage/spa services that we did not take advantage of. One of the only negatives was the water pressure in the shower was uneven, with spurts of very hot water coming out of the shower head every 5 minutes or so. The first night we didn’t think it was a big deal, but after four nights we were tired of it. It wasn’t enough to come close to ruining our stay, but it cost them a five star rating with us…besides that hiccup, the place was a great place to stay.

the food
the quiet beauty of the area around the location
Liked least:
