This hotel was supposed to be one of the better in town. And the location is absolutly fantastic, unfortunatly though the service is very poor and the staff is very rude and rigidly apply a whole lot of "rules"
Here are some example that made our stay a littele unpleasent, considering that this is a 4 star hotels our expectations were high.
1) It is not allowed to bring towels to the beach nor they offer towel services, therefore you must buy your own towel. The hotel sells it for 35 Euros.
2) It is not allowed to have family visiting. One of the reason why we chose the hotel was to meet my son and grandchildren, unfortunatly though they were not allowed to visit us. We could not show them the room and the view not even for 5 minutes, because that was the rule (honestly this has never happened to me anywhere else). Kind of "jail feeling". My son even proposed to leave his id at the reception. No way.
3) I was asked to talk with the manager, it has never been possible.
4) The last day we asked to stay a little longer in the room as our retrun flight was late in the afternoon. Guess what: again NO was the answer...Eventhough the hotel was or at least looked not at all fully booked.
5) Also foreget about internet facilities in the hotel...
If you are looking forward for a 4 star hotel that makes your stay pleasent and make the guest feel welcome DO NOT GO THERE, until they change staff and management at least....
All in all we had a pleasent stay becuase the location and view is fantastic , the facilities are not too bad and Terracina is a very nice and lively city

Considering our guest disappointment we’d like to premises that Grand’ Hotel L’Approdo and the whole staff works every day costantly for the satisfication of our guest.We are equipped with all the necessary comforts ,in addition to professionalism coming from years of experience (with the our guest’s suggestions participation) and costant efforts to improve every year our services.
1)Our Grand Hotel enjoys of an excellent position right by the sea along the promenad4e and free use of beach service (1 umbrella ,1 sunchair, 1 sunbed) is included in the room rates without extra cost.Beach towel is not included. Our guest are not allowed to bring to the beach towels that belongs to the hotel service ( they are used for the bathroom service ). Otherwise our staff take care of advising best shop to buy towels (maximum 10 minutes far from the hotel ) or they can buy towels with Grand Hotel L’ Approdo Signature directly at the front desk .
2) Staring from the first floor we also have different services we are glad to offer our Guest :
Free use of Fitness room and movie room,library,solarium.
Our guest use to spend relaxing time on the upper floors and Our rules are necessary to protect their privacy.
People invited by our Guest are always welcome and they can have conversation and take place in the Hall room or Café Room enjoying of a wonderfull sea view.
3) When our manager director is not in the Hotel are guest are welcome to apply to another member of managing staff for all the needs they have.
4) As Mrs Brussitalian rated on this website, Cleanliness is one of our target and we always wish to offer an inpeccable room for all our guest but it needs time and organization. Our check in time is at 15:00 (if the room is ready we usually allows our guest to get the room before this time); check out time is 11:00\11:30 but when it’s possible we are glad to meet our guest requirements of keeping room until 12:00(if there are not arrival in he same room).
Guest that needs to keep the room until the afternoon can stay paying an extra cost of 50,00 Euro.(if there are not arrivals in the same room).
It is with no uncertain pride that many long-standing guest continue to assure us of their loyalty,thanks to the high quality of our service,to the costant attention we demonstrate towards them.Our organization has for year been improving it’s structure and services and our rules based on respecting have been usefull to build up all the good features that Mrs Brussitalian has recognized during her feedback.
