My cousin and I have just returned from a very pleasant stay in Hotel Europa in Spoleto. We chose this hotel because it was near Spoleto's railway station and we wanted to go on a few (train and bus) trips to other towns during our holiday in Umbria. In Spoleto you have to weigh the pro's and cons of a particular location. The hotel is in the lower town and it is a bit of a hike to the upper town which contains just about all of the restaurants and sites which Spoleto has to offer. For us though on this trip, the hotel being 1 minute from the railway station suited us. The hotel was clean, safe and comfortable. Its proprietors where amongst the friendliest that we have experienced in Spoleto (and we have been there many times). The only minor complaint would be that the breakfast was extremely basic. Thank you Hotel Europa for a very enjoyable stay.

The hotel was great for the price. Everyone was very nice and
very accommodating. The hotel is located directly across from the train station which makes it a very welcome sight for weary travelers. It has a good location but you do have to walk a bit to the main square which I happened to like. They only provide a
very modest continental breakfast and there is no restaurant in the hotel but there are plenty in the neighborhood.
There is an internet location around the corner and another at the train station.
