The atmosphere in the hotel is very relaxed and friendly, the owners and staff are really happy to help, we had a fabulous holiday.

The rooms are beautifully clean and comfortable.

The food was fabulous, our mixed family group of adults and children relished each evening meal.

Borgata is a quiet and intimate village linked to Sestriere, the ski lifts have direct access to great skiing and good links to other Milky Way resorts.

Overall excellent value hotel and great family resort.

Ended up staying in this hotel after our last minute booking fell through and we were left struggling to find somewhere to go 48 hours before we needed to fly out for some skiing.

This hotel is approx. 1½ hours from Turin airport and is in a pretty village called Borgata 4 km outside of Sestriere (as is the Hotel Banchetta which has a horrifically priced bar and pretty hideous food by all accounts !). The village is linked to Sestriere by ski lifts (obviously) and a bus service (approx. every 2 hours, 1 euro each way ! (if it turns up)). There is not much to amuse you in Borgata at night, only one "bar", with the other pub closed during the winter season ?! 2 restaurants (a typico and a pizza place) complete the amenities - great if you want to get away from it all !

The hotel itself is functional, with well looked after well heated rooms. The food is very good (the breakfast more functional though) and the quality of the service by the hotel owners and their staff is superb.

The ski resort is pretty dire for beginners, and as a high intermediate we probably got the best use out of the linked Milky Way resorts. However, the high winds closed lifts to Sauze D'Oulx and other main resorts the majority of days, so we were restricted to the Sestriere slopes which you could tire of after a day at the most.
