Thse aparments are basic, we booked wih Crystal Holidays. On arrival I was very dissappointed, 2 pull out bunk beds out of the wall, and a bed settee for the main bed. We had to make the beds on arrival, plus side, it was clean and always had plently of hot water, the management where very helpful and friendly. To get to the slopes and centre, there is busy road to walk along which takes 10 minutes, this is not suitable for families with small children or prams.
Sestriere ski resort was excellent, we did not hire or book lessons through the reps and this turned out to be a great decision, as it was much cheaper at the local hire shops.
Our rep Ryan and his collegues where excellent and put on some great entertainment in the Cavern, thank god for the Cavern and its staff, as there was very little in the way of night life.

The food in the local restuarants was disappointing.

There were 6 of us on our trip, but 3 shared each room; So when arriving to our rooms we were slightly worried as there was only one sofa bed (as the double bed) however to our astonishment two bed came out of the wall in the form of.. bunk beds.
The room was basic and bland with a 12" black and white Italian tv.
There was limited equipment for cooking, and very little space to cook.. if you dared.

If you wish to be left alone for the entirety of your stay, then these apartments are perfect, as you're bed linen will not be changed, you will not recieve clean towels, toilet papers will not be replaced and the bins will be left for you to deal with.

As for the location of the apartments, they are situated on the main road - about a 5-7 minute walk to the nearest shops, and about 10 minutes to the main area of shops, which is up a slight hill. Although the major worry was that it was a main road without any pavements.
It is a mere walk across the road for a few minutes for you to join the slopes, however it is the opposite end of the town to where Sestriere's ski school is. It would take you a good 10-15 minutes to walk to ski school with your boots and ski's.
However, the town and ski resort of Sestriere is fantastic.

We stayed at the hotel as a group of six. The hotel is a short walk (about 5 minutes) from the lifts, which makes it quiet. We had a lovely view from our balcony over the mountain, which was wonderful after a hard day on the slopes. Kitchen facilities are basic, but adequate and the rooms are clean. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. We also had a bit of trouble with a group of Italian guests next door, and the staff did their best to keep them quiet, which we really appreciated.

Six of us stayed here over the christmas period last year and while the apartment is right beside the ski resort - it was very shabby. It really needs a good paint job. The floors were filthy. I expected more for the price we paid.
