We spent three nights here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The hotel is perched atop a hill (accessed by an elevator from street level, the entrance close to everything) ovelooking the whole town and peninsula of Sestri Levante, the coast northward to the Portofino promontory, and both bays of this exceptionally charming place. You could not find better views anywhere. (Be sure to ask for a sea view and a balcony.) The rooms are smallish, as is typical in Italy, but clean, well appointed, and comfortable. There is is a beautiful restaurant on the top floor with spectacular views, and a roof terrace ovelooking everything. There is also a beautiful pool with its own terrace and bar. This is a prime property at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

Stayed in small suite (room 109)- some view from both balconies. Some noise from elevator to town. Which by the way is very convenient as you are in town center and beach in no time.
Fabulous view from restaurant and lounge bar to the sea, the village and the 2 bays.
Very nice staff. Free baby-sitting - child play in afternoon at swimming pool.
Very nice atmosphere at pool, we ended up staying at pool for 2 days.
Were charged HB for one night where we ate at restaurant, instead of full surcharge as we had booked BB, like usually, which is nice.
The staff was nice enough to organize baby-sitting for us one evening and a local girl came, who we paid her directly.

This one was a bit of a gamble that paid off. I couldn't find any rooms in Cinque Terre so started looking at nearby cities. Found Sestri Levante and Vis a Vis, and would have to say we really enjoyed the experience. The hotel staff were very friendly, views from the rooftop restaurant were amazing, steps to the beaches and sites. I would have to say that this small city was charming, friendly with a very positive feel. Not like the tourist traps that are found all over Italy. Be sure to see the churches in the shopping areas, and don't miss when the bells start ringing, very nice and quaint.

This hotel is in a very good location and the service was pretty good during our stay. While other reviews stated that the rooms were small, we were a bit surprised that they could be this small. It was hard for us to get around in the room with two large suitcases that remained unpacked our entire stay. Bathroom was also small and shower would be very difficult for a large person to get into. We were disappointed in the view which was supposed to be a seaview with balcony. While the room did have a balcony or terrace, the view was not what we thought we were getting. We registered complaint about the view, but they could only move us (2) rooms down (2) days into our (4) night stay and the view was not that much better. However, the manager (Josie) did not charge us the seaview room surcharge for any of our stay which was a nice jesture. She was extremely nice in pointing out things to do and did make several arrangements for us while we were there.
