“Trip to Tuscany”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2010

Casa Valiversi is a dream!
Easy to find as everybody seems to know about it, it is situated at the foot of the Sesto Fiorentino Hills, just north of town. The quiet and peace of the area is what hits you first. Convenient remote controlled gate with ample parking. We were personally welcomed by the gracious owner Mirella who was more a friend than a manager throughout our stay.
The house is very tastefully furnished in modern/rustic style, and the bedrooms are comfortable and clean. The view of Sesto and Florence from our bedroom window was fantastic! Breakfast was abundant and delicious. On the two occasions we asked for dinner at the house we were treated to a sumptuous affair, even a Bistecca Fiorentina on the BBQ!
I would definitely recommend this delight to all my friends; in fact I plan to return with the family when the occasion arises.

Mirella the owner is a big reason to stay at Casavaliversi - she is so charming and welcoming - we enjoyed wonderful breakfasts and the views over the olive grove are stunning. 20 minutes walk to the local train station and a direct service, only 2 stops away from Florence city centre. A great hidden gem and very good accommodation - clean and comfortable.

“Oasis at Firenze”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2010

Casavaliversi is the wonderful house that anyone would wish to arrive after an exhausting day at Florence. Decorated in a feminine and exquisite style full of details and plenty of charm, you feel at home immediately. Mirella is an important part of that feeling as she is a charming lady who transmits close and cosy hospitality at first sight. She gets involved in your trip with very valuable suggestions and tips and also makes reservations at wonderful restaurants for you! My family and I felt the privilege of meeting Mirella as one of the treats of our trip to Florence.
The breakfast is even better that in most hotels and much more authentic!
Having mentioned how beautiful the house is and the splendid taste of the owner which is present in all rooms, it must also be said that the garden is just spectacular. A few hectares of olive trees with a delightful view of the town and the wonderfully valuable sense of calm that it transmits. Sitting in the pergola's of Mirella's garden is a true experience of calm and beauty. And chatting with her a great opportunity to attend a special performance of the greatest show in the world, as announced in the front door of her wonderful house, in a great homage to Bukowski

“Immaculate accommodation and gracious host”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2009

Mirella runs a wonderful B&B just oustide Firenze. I found the location of her B&B to be perfect. A 20 minute car ride into the heart of the city, but set on an olive tree estate you feel as if you are out in the Tuscan countryside. The service we received was excellent. The breakfasts served were delicious with a good variety of food on offer. Mirella was generous with her time, advising us on all things ranging from directions, maps and places of interest. The rooms and common areas (lounge, dining room, kitchen, garden) were beautiful, clean, modern, spacious, warm and styled with great flare. Sesto Fiorentino provides easy access to the Autostrada allowing easy travel to all parts of Tuscany. The train trip into Firenze is approx. 20 minutes and really cheap if you decide not to take on the city traffic in your rental car. There is nothing I did not love about Casa Valiversi.

“Wonderful stay, peaceful surroundings just outside Florence with hostess”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2009

What a lovely B&B Casavaliversi is! My husband and I were looking for a place close to Florence but with the quiet and charm of the countryside, and what a beautiful blend of proximity and peace we found at Casavaliversi. The accommodations were ideal, planned with the utmost care and aesthetic sensibility, with attention to every detail.

We took a short hike out the door of Casavaliversi and were delighted to spy through the olive trees, the dome and campanile of the cathedral in Florence in the distance. After time negotiating the hordes of tourists in Florence, we especially appreciated the peace of Mirella’s front garden with the pergola with grape vines and roses, and spent relaxed time reading surrounded by the greenery.

Mirella’s breakfast was delicious—ham and cheese, fresh pastries of all sorts, cereal, yogurt, three kinds of beautiful Italian breads, delicious orange juice, and fruit. But the best part of our stay was Mirella’s warm welcome and her unceasing efforts to help us make the most of our short time in Sesto Fiorentino. She made special arrangements for us to dine at what turned out to be a wildly popular local restaurant with tables in a garden and original recipes and delicious food. We can’t thank Mirella enough for her efforts to give us the best possible stay close to Florence in Sesto Fiorentino.
