We travelled to Hotel Aaritz for a week's skiing. The hotel is marvellous, the rooms huge, the dining room is large but intimate too. The staff couldn't do enough for us. If we didn't fancy something on the menu, they made us what we wanted. Parma ham every night for my husband!! He loves it. The position is perfect for the town, apres ski and of course is opposite the gondola. A VERY good holiday and is worth the extra.....

My family and I travelled to Selva for the first time ever and was very excited as the reviews on here suggest the hotel is pretty amazing. Im going to agree with them. The hotel itself is in a very good location as its directly oppositte the ciampinoi gondola which is great for intermediates. Its also in the centre of the town and is surrounded by a variety of shops and restaurants. The host Suzy is very welcoming and kind and made sure every single detail was okay. She is very kind but slightly disappointed to catch her smoking in her little room behind the check in desk as like in britain there is a smoking ban in Italy. The food has lots of selection and especially impressed with our waitor Angelo as he was very kind to our family and was always willing to offer something off menu if you didnt like what was on there current menu. The food was tasty and very good quality and a great salad bar and supurb breakfasts. Overall ouur stay was very enjoyable, the pool is nice and so is the spa. Stay for a great holiday but in the summer the restaurant is closed and as this is one of its main assets i would always wait until winter. We had a great time!

We stayed here for 2 nights in August during fairly inclement weather which made our planned hikes somewhat more challenging. However, the comfort of the rooms, the well maintained spa and indoor pool, and the advice of Suzy, the owner, made the experience fabulous. From the moment we walked in and she greeted me by name and said "We were expecting you", we felt both at home and taken care of. The Italian restaurant next door had wonderful pizza. Easy and free parking behind the hotel. We hung out in the lobby after dinner playing cards in comfort. Our rooms on either side of the hotel both had eye-popping views of the mountains and hills. The bright greens of the latter were fantastic and our pictures document that it wasn't a dream.
