I spent 8 days at the Eliseo Park's Hotel as part of a small specialist tour group. Frankly it did not match up to the build-up it had been given. It is neither by the sea/cliff edge nor in Sorrento or Sant Agnello so it meant a very long walk or an expensive taxi to get to a choice of restaurants and shops, or to a railway station.
Family service is friendly and helpful, with many of the younger staff speaking English. My (single) room was small but with a big bed and quite well equipped with safe and TV (France 24 being the only English language channel). Slippery floors in the bathrooms. Other shared twin-bedded rooms were bigger.
The small public area by the /bar is a truly remarkable example of Italian decorative excess, a bit of a hazard for visually impaired travellers or small chldren. The free wifi works there and on the tiny terrace immediately outside.
The hotel lies off a busy suburban road but is on an enclosed site and quiet with pretty gardens (but no views). The pool is small and in shade most of the day so the water (in May) was very cold.
Breakfast (cold buffet) is very good. Dinner is Italian family style and got very repetitive after a couple of days; we missed green vegetables and salads. We could have suffered from their working to a budget for our group. Choice for dinner had to be made at breakfast and diners then had to sit at the same table as at breakfast. There is no lunch time service, but there is a scruffy-looking little restaurant with good food on the corner (closed on Wednesdays) or a longer walk to an overpriced and mediocre cliff top tourist trap.
Anywhere in this area is good as a sightseeing base, and our welcome was warm and gracious, but there is nothing special about this hotel to recommend it above others.
