I am very sorry to give this review but this place is not at standard in cleanliness, maintenance, location or overall impression. The breakfast is just coffee with stale bread. Instead of paying for a taxi to take you to Sorrrento spend in a higher rate hotel. My son who is a tall guy did not fit in the shower, our beds were full of sand (I presume). we had to leave after the first day, I could not take it. The reason I say I am sorry is because Sra Orsola and her son are very sweet and trying to make a living. Is hard these days for them because of the Euro change to the dollar there are no more Americans visiting her place and is afecting her ability to keep the place up. But I have to say is horrible.

It all looks very charming and rustic from the photographs but it's not. Up a narrow road, hard to find in the middle of nowhere, parking difficult in the courtyard, the whole place looks tired and shabby. While the owner seems a very nice lady, she doesn't understand a word of English and communication is difficult. The linen and towels look and smell like something your granny left in her wardrobe for 25 years and as for a fresh breakfast - try stale bread and jam. Absolutely awful - we managed one night and then left and stayed in a lovely hotel in the centre of Sorrento which was fabulous.

The exterior of the hotel was very nice... brightly painted and surrounded by lemon groves. We also had great views of the Bay of Napels and Sorrento from our room. It was a short (but challenging!) drive to downtown Sorrento.

This bed and breakfast was VERY difficult to find, and maneuvering a small car onto their property was almost impossible! The rooms had potential ... a nice size by Europe's standards, but our room, as well as the breakfast area were dingy were not very clean. Although we spent very little time in our room, we were were a little uncomfortable and would not stay again. Even by European standards, this is not a three star accomodation!

We spent five days at this wonderful retreat in the hills of Sant'agnello. Although quite a trek from Sorrento, we had a fabulous time buzzing around on our little scooter, enjoying the peace and quiet otherwise. The room we had was huge and decorated beautifully, the house itself was amazing (some people are so lucky), and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. Seriously good value for money, and we will definitely be returning.
