The exterior of the hotel was very nice... brightly painted and surrounded by lemon groves. We also had great views of the Bay of Napels and Sorrento from our room. It was a short (but challenging!) drive to downtown Sorrento.

This bed and breakfast was VERY difficult to find, and maneuvering a small car onto their property was almost impossible! The rooms had potential ... a nice size by Europe's standards, but our room, as well as the breakfast area were dingy were not very clean. Although we spent very little time in our room, we were were a little uncomfortable and would not stay again. Even by European standards, this is not a three star accomodation!

We spent five days at this wonderful retreat in the hills of Sant'agnello. Although quite a trek from Sorrento, we had a fabulous time buzzing around on our little scooter, enjoying the peace and quiet otherwise. The room we had was huge and decorated beautifully, the house itself was amazing (some people are so lucky), and the welcome couldn't have been warmer. Seriously good value for money, and we will definitely be returning.

We spent two nights at Il Mirto Bianco in September, 2005. It was our first stay in a B&B. (Young couple) The hosts were wonderful, genuine people who could not do enough for us - though there was a slight language barrier (good to have some Italian or a phrase book). The location is peaceful and accomodation authentic in style but quite adequate. Transportation is an issue. Many Taxi drivers in the area do not know the location of the street and are quite unscrupulous. It is about 3 km from Sorrento Town Centre which varies in taxi fares from 15-30 euro depending on the driver. I would strongly suggest hiring a moped or SMALL car.
The breakfast supplied is grown on the premises and is excellent. Having now stayed with these lovely people I am pleased to have given my money to them rather than a 4* hotel.

We stayed at il Mirto Bianco for five nights in september. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, although the they did not speak perfect english they could make themselves understood. It is a pretty place in the hills above Sant' Agnello and as such it is a bit of a trek to Sorrento itself. If you are driving do not hire anything bigger than a VW Golf as you will struggle to fit it upthe narrow lanes and through the gates of the B&B! Overall we would recommend it as a good base for the touring the area if you dont mind staying off the beaten track but enjoy some traditional Italian hospitality and lovely views!
