“Great bargain, but . . .”
The staff at this hotel is so friendly and attentive that I hate to say anything bad about it, but I would hesitate to return there. The public area is lovely and everything is scrupulously clean, but the rooms are tiny and the bathrooms miniscule. If you are sharing a twin-bedded room, you should know that the beds are placed so closely together that they might just as well be one--and there is no room on the other side of each bed to shove them farther apart. I had two different rooms. The double bed in one was comfortable, but the twin bed in another was thin and didn't provide enough support. Some rooms can be noisy. The continental breakfast is undistinguished (except for the cornetti--croissants--which are good). The hotel is a 15-minute walk to Sorrento; this didn't bother me, but it might be an issue for others. A bus to Sorrento also stops at the door. There are several restaurants within walking distance and a cheap takeout food place (Blue Island) opposite the entrance.
Room Tip: Try to avoid rooms overlooking the street--they can be noisy.
