Palazzo di Luglio is all-round unquestionably the most pleasant hotel in which we have had the good fortune to stay across the length and breadth of Europe. The proprietors and their staff made us feel at home from the moment we arrived and treated us as if part of the family. The accommodation was both spacious and cultured, with obvious attention to detail in every respect, but the piece de resistance was each day’s evening meal, beautifully prepared and exquisitely cooked Tuscan dishes the like of which we had not previously tasted anywhere. Though apprehensive at divulging such an absolute gem of a find, we can do no less than make an unqualified recommendation for an establishment which excels in its location as in its welcome and its cuisine.
