The location was perfect, 5 min by foot from the train station, staff was very friendly, breakfast nice. Rooms were clean and spacious, although a little bit noisy, and so was the hotel. Nevertheless a great experience!

We stayed in Eveline for 3 nights, as a base for our visit to the Monaco GP.

The room was wonderful and the staff very friendly and helpful. Our room at the front of the building was a little noisy, given the road the building is on is busy, but that's the price you pay for being so near to everything.

Breakfast was lovely and the room, although in the basement, was fine, contrary to another poster on hear. We had Alesha Dixon in a room above ours - it can't be that bad!

It was supposed to be a fourstar hotel but turned out to be a twostar compared with what you can expect elsewhere in San Remo for the same prize. The location is on the "wrong" side of the town, very noisy .The breakfast is in a little basement and what you "see" on the internet is not what you get.... The same goes for frooms and the terrasses that looks very tempting on the internet but they turned out to be very little appealing. But the worst is the hotels canselling policies. When we wanted to cansell because the hotel turned out to be something totally different , we expected to pay for one extra night but the hotel insisted in us paying for 2 weeks all though we hadnt agreed to this !! By arrival they withdrew a depositum for 4 nights so this is what we paid for canselling on arrival... There are other charming hotels with great location i SR, for instance Grand Hotel Londra- same prize - a totally different experience.

I stayed at the Eveline for 3 nights in September whilst on business. This was my third stay at the property (previous stays were for 2 weeks (2006) and 5 nights (2003). The staff are very nice and the hotel is clean. Rooms are rather feminine in decor, but are of a reasonable size with en suite facilities. Rooms on the back of the hotel do not have much of a view but are much quieter. Some rooms at rear have decent sized terraces which are a bit tired, but provide a perfect setting for a quiet glass of something at the end of the day. Breakfast is excellent with very good choice of hot and cold buffet items. Price is reasonable. Hotel may not be to everybody's taste, but personally if I were to return to San Remo I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

For eating out/nightlife - go to Big Ben bar which is very lively. Best restaurant for setting/food etc is in my opinion Victory Morgana on the waters edge. Eat outside on the balcony and watch the sun go down.
