“Beautiful”

Europa is a lovely hotel, with friendly helpful and bilingual speaking staff with a fantastic ground floor reception, restaurant and lounge area which feels like you have stepped back in time with the marble and beautiful tables and chairs, sadly not all the room are up to scratch so it is worth getting the more expensive rooms, this is my second stay at this hotel and both times i have had the cheaper room due to it just being a business trip.

The rooms are large but feel a little empty and the mattresses could do with being a little firmer, I had a pleasant view of the beautiful casino opposite (this is a classy classic casino and creates no noise or rowdy people) I will stay in this hotel next time in in San Remo (in about a months time)

San Remo is a beautiful classic Italian Riviera City with not as much tourism as you may think
not much English is spoken here but the people are friendly and its easy to get lost in there good food and wine!

Room Tip: Pay the extra and take the sea view (you over look the old train station which is beautiful and trai...

“Bellissima!”

We spent a week at this lovely hotel and were thoroughly satisfied with everything. The staff were very helpful and the room was huge. We had a sea view room with a small balcony & it was gorgeous to watch the ocean & sunrise or enjoy a drink watching the world go by. The breakfast room was very nice & the variety of foods provided was quite extensive.
I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view room

“A bit oldfashioned, but nice”

We stayed three nights in a two room apartment (2 adults and 3 children of 8,6 and 3). It was fairly big and the ceiling was very high, which gives a sense of volume. The furniture is old, but everything was clean. We had a small balcony and view of the casino on one side, and the sea on the other side.

The hotel is very well situated, it is as near the beach as it is near the city.

Staff was friendly and the food in the restaurant delicious.

“Super Location & Great Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 July 2011

This hotel is an elegant lady from an earlier era. Located across the street from the beach at the beginning of the downtown shops and stores. The hotel was retrofitted some years back and may not have all of the modern features - but it has all of the comforts you need and it's kind of "cool" in a way.
Staff here are outstanding! Friendly and helpful. Meals are a treat!
Rooms are somewhat "plain" but comfortable. Housekeeping staff are excellent. Leave a tip for them (2 euros/night) at the start of your stay and they'll bend over backwards to keep you happy - and treat you like family.
The place still has an old, 3-person elevator. It's safe to use - but in a crowd it's faster to take the stairs.
This may not be the fanciest hotel in San Remo - but I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

“Decent Price for San Remo, but Nothing Special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2011

Full disclosure--I am not a huge fan of San Remo. The hotel is pretty enough from the outside and in the lobby, but our room was dated, contained very little furniture and the bathroom had seen better days. With that said, the room was very large for a European hotel and would be great for a family that needed to add a rollaway bed. Breakfast was fine, nothing out of the ordinary. If you're interested in the casino, it is directly across the street.
