We booked a weekend at the Hotel Napoleon but only stayed there one night. Unfortunately, we chose to stay at the hotel during a dog show and there was dog noise and dog excrement all over the property. Aside from that, the hallways looked lovely in marble, but added to the echo of the motorcycles and cars that were racing by the street which is very close to the front of the property.
The room and ensuite bathroom was large for a European hotel room, but the hotel was located too far from the interesting part of San Remo.
My wife injured her ankle in San Remo and we needed to check out of the hotel after one night, although we originally booked two nights. The hotel charged us for both nights (which we are appealing to Travelocity presently).
Everything costs extra (indoor parking 10 Euro/night, breakfast 8 Euro/person). We managed to find a parking space on the tiny street next to the hotel and walked through a scene of at least a dozen stray cats to get to the hotel.
Overall, if you must stay in San Remo, there seem to be far better choices for a 3-star hotel as far as location is concerned.
