the breakfast is good
we stayed in half pension formula.
In the evening there is a buffet, but the food is nog warm enough. misses seasoning, misses a soul.
the napkins are not always clean.
After dinner you have no place in the hotel where you can drink a beer, a coffee ...
to far away from the center of the city .

I have to agree with all that's already being said here. The hotel is a maze and it's not even nicely decorated. The staff seems not even know the word "customer service".

However, the absolutely WORST part was that when I left - I was charged for my stay for the second time. I tried to explain them I had already paid in advance and showed the receipts and all, but since their night time guard (left around 4am) couldn't understand English properly, I had to pay for extra 504 euros. I couldn't stay to argue since I was in a hurry to the airport. Afterwards, I contacted my travel agency (IAN Services) for a refund, but after a numerous promises about reviewing the situation, they didn't even reply. So, can't recommend that travel agency either.

Taxi drivers also scam tourists in this city. It's very common that they charge whatever they want if you order a taxi from San Remo to Monaco or to Nice. You can haggle the price down, but e.g. trip from San Remo to Nice can range from 100 to 200 euros.

There is no way in earth this hotel deserves to be a four-star hotel. Maybe 2. Rooms are clearly overpriced.

We don't like to complain and try to have fun while traveling, but this hotel was weird. It was like a maze getting to your room. The room was big and had a balcony, which was nice. (once you finally got there). The bathroom was large, but the jacuzzi tub did not work. There was a decent breakfast, but no other food (no dinner) was offered on the premises. Hotel staff was not that informed or particularly pleasant. We had a car and got lost trying to find the hotel again after we went out for a drive. The pool area was nice, but had odd hours and was closed a lot. There was a nice stone walk way down to the town/seaside, but it was not a short walk. The hotel was perched atop a hill, which was nice.

Far away from the city center, very, very old, not renovated, unpleasant odour in rooms, quite big bathroom, definitely I don't recommand it.
