I have been in this hotel on a business trip to Parma, since all the hotels were full in Parma due to a large convention / exhibition ...
This property has definitely seen better days but apparently the owners do not have the means to bring it up to modern standards.
The room was clean but everything was tired, the lighting was depressing ... the bathroom again clean but lacking modern amenities ...
The big plus of this hotel is the people running it, extremely nice, friendly and helpful.
The place is also very quiet ... parking somewhat difficult at every hour of the day ....
Salsomaggiore is quite a pleasant little town, extremely oldfashionned, with nice old "turn of the past century" buildings,in pleasant green surrounding. Good restaurants in town if you ask the locals.
If you need a short rest this is the place to be.
